    Glass trial jar - 100ml

Glass trial jar - 100ml. Suitable for hydrometer readings.

Has a graded scale allowing you to measure volumes of liquid from 10ml to 100ml in 1ml increments. The main tube is approximately 21.8cm deep, and it has a lipped edge to assist with pouring liquids out. Diameter of the base is approximately 5.5cm.
  2. Home Brewer Water Analysis Report

    As low as: $125.00

    Home Brewer Water Analysis Report

Get your brewing water tested at a laboratory. The first step to water modifications is to know your brewing water.
If you buy this report, we ship to you the sample containers, pre-paid freight to your closest laboratory (Hamilton, Blenheim or Christchurch), instructions, ice packs and a polystyrene shipping box to keep your sample cold during transport.

Completed test results are emailed back to you once available.
We believe this is currently the only affordable laboratory grade water test aimed at home brewers in New Zealand.

Your sample is being tested for the following parameters:

    Total Hardness
    Total Alkalinity

The optional add on report uses the data from your laboratory water report to give you tailored advice on how to modify your water for a variety of beer styles.
This is highly recommended unless you know how to interpret & use water analysis data.

You can find an example report here.
  3. Hydrometer, 3 scale

    Hydrometer, 3 scale

A brewing hydrometer is a very useful tool for any kind of fermentation. By tracking starting gravity and finishing gravity, you will be able to establish the level of alcohol that has been produced. This is also very helpful when trying to identify if fermentation is complete, which is very important to establish before bottling if you wish to avoid bottle-bombs.

This hydrometer is ideal for wine-making, beer-brewing and cider-making. It includes three scales, allowing you to read specific gravity, potential alcohol, and grams per litre of sugar.

  5. Dial thermometer with 42mm probe and weldless Kit

Dial thermometer with 42mm probe and weldless Kit

A bi-metal weldless thermometer with 3" stainless steel housing, hermetically sealed in a water proof case with glass face. Ideal for fitting to your mash tun, hot liquor tank or kettle. Provides temperature readout in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. The thermometer kit include 1 x stainless washer, 1 x 1/2"NPT/BSP Lock Nut, 2 x Silicone O-rings. Requires a 7/8" drill bit to install. To prevent leaking, wrap the 1/2" BSP threads with Teflon tape prior to threading into the port.

  8. Refractometer With ACT and LED light Refractometer With ACT and LED light

Refractometer With ACT and LED light

gar refractometer for measuring the density of your beer or wine. Many brewers prefer to use this instead of a hydrometer because they find it quicker and easier to get an accurate reading. A refractometer will allow you to take instant gravity measurements during mash run-off or during the boil. It works like a hydrometer except you only need a few drops and there is no need to cool a trial jar of liquid before taking a reading. Using a refractometer lets you check the progress of your brew so you can make adjustments along the way. A valuable tool for all-grain and extract brewers. To use, apply 2-3 drops to the prism face, close the cover and wait 30 seconds. Look through the eye-piece - the line on the screen will show the Brix % and Specific Gravity reading. This model comes with ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) allowing you to use the refractometer between 10 / 30 degrees Celsius so the temperature of the sample is irrelevant. It also includes an LED light for easy reading in low light areas giving a good clear display. This high quality refractometer is extremely accurate and easy to use and calibrate. Features: - NEW LED illuminated function - 0-30 brix scale - 0-1.120 specific gravity scale - Metal body with rubberised grip - Adjustable focus eyepiece with rubber grip - ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) Comes with: - Carry case - Pipette - Calibration Screw Driver
