Gladfield Vienna has a kiwi twist but still has the normal characteristics of typical Vienna malt. The germination and kilning allows a sweeter maltier character with out over doing it. It is ideal for darker lagers or Marzen style beers. The Gladfield Vienna goes well with Gladiator and Toffee giving a big white head and lovely golden red lager for that drinkable session beer.

    $7.70

Southern Cross Hops - Pellets (NZ)

Used for first addition bittering this hop has no pretence at substitution for noble type. A kettle variety of the highest order Southern Cross imparts a soft bitterness with a subtle resinous quality. The essential oil component is such that it can deliver a delicate balance of citrus and spice when added toward the end of boil. Generally selected for its consistency in mainstream Lagers this hop has also ventured into the craft market as a reliable Brewpub mainstay.
  4. Pacific Jade Hops - Pellets (NZ)
    $7.60

Pacific Jade Hops - Pellets (NZ)

Suited for use as a bittering hop with some excellent results also being seen in dual purpose applications, with a soft bitterness attributable to the low cohumulone. The citrus aroma and flavour notes work well to temper malt sweetness in “fullish” Ales especially when used moderately as a finishing hop. Pacific Jade™ is also well suited to balance dryer Lager styles when employed as an “up-front” kettle addition to showcase its bittering qualities.

Considered a bittering variety typically for Lager, Green Bullet also carries a solid Styrian characteristic of subtle spiciness which finds it at home in a freshly drawn pint of Bitter or an Irish-style Dry Stout. “utility brewhouse workhorse”

  8. Brewmaster Strawberry Enhancer
    $5.00

    Brewmaster Strawberry Enhancer

This is a concentrated essence to use wherever you want to easily add a specific flavour. Maybe a strawberry blonde ale?

The best way to use these in beer brewing (or any other liquid) is to take multiple samples of a specific volume (i.e. 200ml) and dose them using a pipette in different concentrations - then compare and pick the one you like most - then scale up from there. A little can go a long way!

Works also great for baking & cooking.

    Made from natural strawberry oils.

Thomas Fawcett and Sons is a blend of unhurried tradition and commitment to personal precision. It is one of the few malt producers that preserves the old-fashioned system of floor malting. Consequently, neither mechanical loaders nor forklifts are allowed on site. All grain handling is performed by Thomas Fawcett workers, who gently move, turn, and sweep the grains from steeping to kilning.
