The League "Little Red Rooster" - Session Red IPA All Grain Kit 23l
This recipe was not specifically designed to be consistent with the BJCP style guides, but we believe it is similar to 19A - American Amber Ale.
We truly love our Red Rooster Red IPA. This is a it's little brother - a newly formulated recipe featuring Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial & Citra hops and still deliciously malty using fresh Gladfield malt like only a red IPA can provide. However, this is only 4.8% ABV - without compromising body or flavour.
ABV: 4.8%

This recipe has been designed to use acid malt to reach the target mash pH. If you wish to use the recommended mineral additions to achieve the intended flavour profile, these are to be added to the boil only. This kit does not include the minerals, but these can be purchased separately.

The League "Mannekin Pis" - Belgian Blond All Grain Kit 23l
This recipe was not specifically designed to be consistent with the BJCP style guides, but we believe it is similar to 25A - Belgian Blond Ale.
Belgian style beers feel very hard to find these days. If you're like us and enjoy the fantastic unique flavours a Belgian yeast can produce, you really start to miss one in the sea of hazy's out there. Brew one yourself!
This Belgian Golden Ale will remind you of a Leffe Blond - bubblegummy with a hint of spice on the nose, sweet malt but dry enough on the finish to make you take the next sip.
We've created the recipe so you can decide if and how much sugar you want to add. It's more authentic if you add the suggested amount of sugar to the boil - or you can lower the ABV by leaving it out - up to you!
Target ABV: 6.2% - 6.9%

The League "Greenbacker" Pale Ale - All Grain Kit
This recipe was not specifically designed to be consistent with the BJCP style guides, but we believe it is similar to 18B - American Pale Ale.
Our first beer we sold at our shop and it flew out the door. We kinda thought it would, since it's damn tasty. Originally brewed with big load of freshly picked Nelson Sauvin, we believe this kit with hop pellets that are available year round will be equally tasty. Give it a try and see if you agree!

The League "Flashback" - American Pale Ale All Grain Kit
This recipe was not specifically designed to be consistent with the BJCP style guides, but we believe it is similar to 18B - American Pale Ale.
This is our take on the beer that is was leading the way for the craft beer revolution as we know it today: The iconic Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
We've substituted in local malt and some local hops without changing the great balance and drink-ability this beer is known for - mainly because we believe craft is also about using local!
It doesn't get more local than brewing it yourself, right?

The League "Prophecy" - Pale Ale Recipe Kit (All Grain)
This recipe would have been designed to be consistent with the 2021 BJCP Style guide, but there isn’t one for an Extra Pale Ale (XPA). Never fear though, Jamie McQuillan from Cell Division designed this recipe drawing on plenty of the good examples he has tried on his beer drinking and brewing journey long before he turned all funky on us!
XPA’s fall loosely under the category of American Pale Ale 18A, but expect an extra pale beer with a stripped back malt backbone allowing the hops to shine. Less bitter than an IPA, but somewhat akin to an IPA with a leaner malt backbone. An easy drinking hoppy summer crusher. Sounds a bit like a NZ Pilsner right? Well, how about a NZ XPA?
Jamie thought this would be the perfect vehicle for an extra special recent delivery of Kohia from Freestyle Hops. Kohia is their latest botanical blend combining Nelson Sauvin and Rakau with dried NZ passionfruit. This all adds up to a delicious, power-charged NZ XPA. It could be the next big thing! Get ahead of the pack and add a Prophecy Pale Ale kit to your shopping cart now.

The League "Monk's Table" - Belgian Single Recipe Kit (All Grain)
This recipe has been designed to be consistent with the 2021 BJCP Style guide 26A: Belgian Single, otherwise known as a Trappist Single, if brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery.
Monk’s Table is a recipe designed for The League of Brewers by Jamie McQuillan of Cell Division Brewery. For many of us who either work for and/or source our brewing supplies from the League of Brewers, brewing is a religious institution. Long before any of us picked up a mash paddle though, the Trappist Monks were honing their brewing craft, with a handful of monasteries retaining their godlike status as breweries to this day. Trappist Singles are a lower abv beer traditionally brewed to be consumed by the monks themselves. In essence, they are a monk’s table beer.
Typical of the style, this recipe is built upon a base of Pilsner malt, but also includes a little Vienna malt to enhance the supporting sweet, grainy finish, along with a touch of chit malt to encourage head formation. With a clean and crisp bittering from Hallertau Mittelfruh and later additions of resinous, earthy Styrian Goldings hops, this table beer will have you going back for refreshing sip after sip. It is all rounded out with punchy and fruity Belgian yeast notes.
I recommend you brew this beer well in advance of the summer months, bottle condition it with high carbonation for an authentic finish, and then crack open a bunch of bottles around the table during your summer festivities. Prost!

The League "Caught in a Whirl" - NZ Pale Ale Recipe Kit (All Grain)
The NZ Pale Ale is a style that does not currently feature in the BJCP Style guide, but if it did, we think this recipe would hit all the right notes. The Brewers Association (USA) have recently added the NZ Pale to their style guide, and in essence it is kiwi version of an American Pale Ale, celebrating kiwi rather than American hops.
Developed by Jamie McQuillan from Cell Division, this recipe is loosely based on award winning home brew APA recipe. It utilises a 100% NZ malt bill from the Canterbury Plains, providing a pale amber colour and just enough malt backbone to carry the punchy hops and firm bitterness. It finishes relatively dry and yet has enough body and a light perception of sweetness to keep you reaching for more. Expect classic kiwi hop notes rather than the tropical notes of some of our more recent hop varieties. Citrus, stone fruit and diesel undertones are rounded out with a generous dose of gooseberry flavour and aroma that only Nelson Sauvin hops can bring.
Get ahead of the pack with this delicious version of a newly recognised style and pay homage to our hop growing history at the same time. Cheers!
