Each Carbon Filter Cartridge will treat 45 litres of 40% ethanol, removing unpleasant congeners such as acetaldehyde, fusel alcohols, tannins, and methanol leaving clear, purified alcohol (ethanol). The Ceramic Filter Cartridge treats up to 250 litres of 40% ethanol (50 batches). It features premium ceramic carbon filtration that purifies the water component of your spirit, effectively removing bacteria and cysts (such as E. coli, Giardia, and Cryptosporidium), suspended solids (including excess nutrients, yeast cells, dirt, and rust), chlorine (which can affect taste), hydrogen sulfide (which can produce unpleasant odors), organic pesticides (like lindane), and dissolved metals (such as lead, zinc, iron, and copper).
