As it has a higher protein content than a Pilsen malt, BEST Wheat Malt is not only suited to producing typical wheat beers, but also enhances the mouth feel and improves the foam of all top-fermented beer styles. The malting process has been adapted to the raw material to guarantee excellent processability.

Black Rock Colonial Lager is a light coloured, easy-drinking session lager with low bitterness - perfect to quench a hard-earned thirst on a sunny day. Brew with 1kg Black Rock Liquid Brewing Sugar (or 1kg other sugar) for a light, clean finish. For more body, colour and malt flavour use 1.7kg Black Rock Ultralight unhopped malt extract instead of sugar.

Black Rock Crafted American Pale Ale is brewed with Caramalt and Roasted specialty malts for a typical APA flavour and pale brown colour. NZ Green Bullet and Pacific Gem hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate-strong bitterness. Black Rock APA is is already dry-hopped with Cascade to infuse a delicous grapefruit and citrus aroma. Brew with Black Rock Ultra-Light UME, or combine 2 cans of APA for a more powerful hop aroma and bitterness. Try brewing this recipe with a specialty US ale yeast like Safale US-05.

NZ Green Bullet and Pacific Gem hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate-strong bitterness. The wort is dry-hopped to infuse the citrus and subtle floral aromas of Wakatu hops into the final beer. Wakatu is the Maori name for Nelson, New Zealand’s famous hop growing region. Brew two cans of IPA to achieve the classic IPA bitterness and hop aroma.
