Gladfield Roasted Barley
(bulk product - please select amount on product page)This is a bulk product - one unit equals 1kg.
This product is used in the production of dry or bitter Stouts and other dark beers, or for the careful adjustment of Pilsen beer colours.
Roasted Barley, as the name suggests, is made from unmalted barley. It has a slightly darker colour than our Gladfield Chocolate Malt range and is ideally suited for use in a Dry Stout. Roasted Barley adds a lovely rich roast flavour and dark espresso like flavours to brewed beer. Like all roasted malts, it should be used fresh to get the best out of it. -

Fuggle Hops - Pellets (NZ)
Fuggle was first noticed growing "wild" in the hop garden of George Stace Moore's house at Horsmonden in Kent, England in 1861. In 1875 it was introduced by Richard Fuggle who lived in the village of Brenchley (not far from Horsmonden) and hence it was called Fuggle. The aroma is earthier and less sweet than Kent Goldings. Substitutes: Willamette. -
Williams Warn Summer Ale 800g can
Our Summer Ale is straw-coloured in appearance with a low bitterness. Technically it is regarded as a Cream Ale – an ale version of a lager beer. It therefore ferments warm (23°C/73°F) with great efficiency with our ale yeast, but with the resulting taste profile being similar to that of a light lager.
This is the 800g can only. We also sell this as part of a 10L kit including dry malt extract and yeast.
-
Williams Warn Dutch Pilsner 800g can
Our Dutch Pilsner is straw-coloured in appearance with a moderate, lingering bitterness, designed to be typical of Pilsners from The Netherlands. When used with our light DME to make an all-malt beer, the combination of ingredients makes a Pilsner very true to the region.
This is the 800g can only. We also sell this as part of a 10L kit including dry malt extract and yeast.

Calcium Sulphate (Gypsum) bulk 200g
Gypsum (calcium sulfate) adds permanent hardness (calcium ions) to brewing water. Calcium Sulphate causes permanent hardness because it doesn't get removed by boiling. It is believed that sulphate suppresses harshness and astringent flavours which therefore allows brewers to use large amounts of hops without extracting undesirable harshness from other components of the hop.
