This recipe has been designed to be consistent with the 2021 BJCP Style guide 24B - Belgian Pale Ale.

Pieter Pieter is a Belgian Pale Ale recipe designed for The League of Brewers by Jamie McQuillan of Cell Division Brewery. This beer is intended to be an easy drinking soft and fruity Belgian ale. It sits firmly on the paler end of the style spectrum, with bready notes, restrained caramel, balanced bittering and a respectable abv of 5.5%. Lovely East Kent Goldings hops play a supporting role with earthy, spicy and floral notes while the Belgian abbey ale yeast lends soft approachable fruity esters and low phenolics along with excellent clarity in the finished beer.

ABV: 5.5%

This recipe assumes correct mineral additions for pH calculations, which are not included in the kit. Please purchase these separately.

Our kits are fresh! We assemble the ingredients after you place your order. The grain bill will be milled, unless you tell us in your order comments that you prefer it not to be.

First brew ever, made loads of mistakes, still turned out great.
Andrew 3 December 2023 I'd never brewed before, so this was a confusing process. I made plenty of mistakes, didnt quite have all the right equipment, but still ended up with a drinkable beer! Notes of bubblegum, clove, banana, yeast.
