Each Carbon Filter Cartridge will treat 45 litres of 40% ethanol, removing unpleasant congeners such as acetaldehyde, fusel alcohols, tannins, and methanol leaving clear, purified alcohol (ethanol). The Ceramic Filter Cartridge treats up to 250 litres of 40% ethanol (50 batches). It features premium ceramic carbon filtration that purifies the water component of your spirit, effectively removing bacteria and cysts (such as E. coli, Giardia, and Cryptosporidium), suspended solids (including excess nutrients, yeast cells, dirt, and rust), chlorine (which can affect taste), hydrogen sulfide (which can produce unpleasant odors), organic pesticides (like lindane), and dissolved metals (such as lead, zinc, iron, and copper).

This replacement carbon cartridge is designed for the Essencia Carbon Filter System and effectively treats up to 45 litres of 40% ethanol. Featuring an ultra-premium activated carbon formulation, the Essencia cartridge delivers superior filtration, ensuring the purest alcohol. It efficiently removes undesirable congeners such as acetaldehyde, fusel alcohols, tannins, and methanol, resulting in clear, refined ethanol. For optimal performance, ensure alcohol is diluted to 40% ABV or lower and replace the cartridge after every five batches (45 litres).

The Filter Pro is a vertical (gravity-fed) filter and is the latest release from Still Spirits. The Filter Pro will process up to 8 L of spirit at a time using 500 g of Still Spirits Activated Finishing Carbon. With easy-to-use tri-clamps, flow control and a removable door and wall mount, polishing your spirit is no longer a chore!

IN-STOCK YEAST: We maintain stock of high-selling liquid yeasts in the shop, to make it easy for anyone who needs liquid yeast in a hurry. These will always be sold within the best before date. If a strain is out of stock, then it won't show up as an option for you to purchase. If you want the freshest liquid yeast, or if we are out of stock, consider using the pre-order option. Pre-ordered yeasts are ordered directly from the manufacturer on your behalf and we do not use in-stock yeast to fulfil pre-orders.

PREORDER DEADLINE: Every 2 months we place a liquid yeast order with Wyeast. All pre-orders placed will be part of our next order from the supplier, subject to the supplier having your pre-ordered strain in stock.

We place our orders on or after the 20th of the month. The deadline to ensure your pre-order is included is midnight the day before.

All pre-orders will be available for pickup or shipping after we receive the yeast which is usually around the first week of the month.
