Citra Hops - Pellets (US)
Citra Brand is a registered trademark for a special aroma hop variety developed by the Hop Breeding Company. It was released in 2007. Citra Brand hops have fairly high alpha acids and total oil contents with a low percentage of cohumulone content. Citra Brand hops imparts interesting citrus and tropical fruit characters to beer.
The alpha acid content of hops will vary from batch to batch and may vary from the amount shown in the picture.

Can I swap these Citra pellets for Citra Cryo pellets, and how much should I use?
Yes, Citra Cryo is a more concentrated form of Citra, made by separating the lupulin from the leaf material, so you need less of it than standard pellets. Cryo Hops guidance suggests starting at about half the weight of standard pellets and adding them late, in the whirlpool or as a dry hop, because the aroma compounds are driven off by a long boil.
