This recipe was not specifically designed to be consistent with the BJCP style guides, but we believe it is similar to X5 - NZ Pilsner.
We love playing with new hops. This time we've used the NZ trial hop number "9909" in a New Zealand Pislner, supported by European noble hop Hallertau and NZ Riwaka to add some pilsnerish goodness. This creates an easy drinking beer for the times when you might need a "Daddy's Little Helper".
ABV: 5.2%
Our kits are fresh! We assemble the ingredients after you place your order. The grain bill will be milled, unless you tell us in your order comments that you prefer it not to be.
This recipe has been designed to use acid malt to reach the target mash pH. If you wish to use the recommended mineral additions to achieve the intended flavour profile, these are to be added to the boil only. This kit does not include the minerals, but these can be purchased separately.

- Tasty drop for a summers day
- 26 January 2023 I made this brew with a bit of hesitation as i had never brewed either a pilsner nor an all grain recipe before....I should not have been so hesitant! Used the cali lager that came with the kit and took the worry out of the cold ferment. The hops punched through with the flavours and aroma only kiwi hops can offer. Would I brew again?? Definitely yes! Thanks for such great products, great service and even greater recipe!
