Who are the League of Brewers?

We are a small team of passionate home-brewers, dedicated to providing the best online and offline retail experience and customer service that we can. We love all things crafty and fermented, whether it comes to making your own, or supporting other producers of great wine, beer, spirits, cider, kombucha, fermented foods and everything else that our customers want.

Founded in 2014 in Mike's double garage, somewhere in suburban Nelson, we fairly quickly outgrew the space and moved to where we are now. Anyone visiting our shop can see that we're once again struggling to find room for the 2,500+ different products we stock, but somehow, we manage. So far!

Our shop is in Nelson, but our customers are everywhere!

What we do

The League of Brewers retail shop

Our goal is to stock a wide range of equipment, ingredients, and consumables for anyone who wants to make their own wine, beer, spirits, cider, kombucha, and fermented foods, at a price that is great for our customers and sustainable for our business. We are always looking for new products to stock so if there is something specific you want which we don't have, please contact us and we will look into it for you.

Fast Shipping and Reliable Stock

We know that when the brewing bug bites, you don't want to wait. The vast majority of the brewing supplies and ingredients we sell are held locally in stock at our Nelson warehouse and are ready to be shipped immediately across New Zealand.

For specialty items, some products are available via back-order or pre-purchase. We believe in total transparency, so this status will always be clearly stated on the individual product description page before you check out.

• Craft Beer Brewing: From beginner extract kits to advanced all-grain brewing systems, hops, malt, and specialised yeast strains.
• Home Distilling: High-quality stills, yeasts, essences, and filtering equipment for crafting your own premium spirits.
• Wine & Cider Making: Vineyard-quality wine kits, fruit presses, additives, and specialised yeasts.
• Kombucha & Fermented Foods: Scobys, fermentation crocks, and supplies for gut-healthy creations like sauerkraut and kimchi.

Looking for something specific? We are constantly expanding our catalogue. If there is a niche product, rare hop variety, or specialised tool you need that isn't currently on our shelves, reach out to us and we will do our best to source it for you.
