Sodium Percarbonate is a fantastic cleaner for brewers, as it reacts with organic matter to produce oxygen, and the resulting bubbles help lift dirt off surfaces with the minimum of fuss. It can also be used as a sanitiser at the right concentration.
Works well with plastic or stainless steel.

How do I mix and use sodium percarbonate to clean brewing equipment?
For routine fermenter or keg cleaning, dissolve 3–5 g per litre of water. Use 1–3 g per litre for bottles with light residue, or 10–20 g per litre for heavily soiled kettles. Use warm water at 40–60°C and soak for 20–30 minutes for routine cleaning; heavily soiled items may need an overnight soak. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before sanitising. Use on stainless steel, glass and suitable plastics; avoid aluminium and copper. Weigh the powder so that the concentration matches the cleaning job.
