The obvious choice for beginner brewers, the standard 30L fermenter bucket is economical and easy to clean. Can be used for many batches as long as you avoid scratching the inside surface, which would make it very hard to sanitise.

If you have a build-up of beer stone inside a plastic fermenter, then it is recommended to replace it with a new one as the beer stone will also be a good place for bacteria to hide, and it is hard to remove without scratching the interior surface.

We still regularly use these fermenters as a first choice.
