Why is the first beer from my tower foamy, while the next pour is better?

Beer sitting in a warm tower and tap can foam before colder beer reaches them. If the problem mainly affects the first pour after a pause, check tower cooling. On an air-cooled kegerator with a font fan, keep it running and direct its cold-air tube inside the tower to cool the beer lines and taps. Foam on every pour can also involve warm beer, excess carbonation or an unbalanced beer line, so cooling the tower alone may not solve it.
