What is the difference between the beer starter kits, and do I need to buy ingredients and bottles separately?
The League of Brewers Beer Brewing Starter Kit and the barrel-shaped fermenter version are equipment kits: each has a 30L fermenter, tap, airlock, thermometer strip, hydrometer, brew bottler, bottle brush and sanitiser, but no ingredients or bottles, so you add a beer kit or recipe kit and bottles for your first batch. The PROMO bundles add ingredients to the same equipment. The Mangrove Jack's Starter Brewery Kit with Bottles also includes brewing ingredients, carbonation drops and 30 x 750ml PET bottles, so it is the more complete option if you want everything in one box.
