Should I choose 750ml crown seal bottles or flip top bottles, and how many do I need for a batch?

Both 750ml amber styles are suitable for beer, cider and kombucha. Crown seal bottles come without flip tops and are used with separately bought crown seals, which are available as standard or oxygen scavenging types if you want to reduce oxidation. Flip top bottles have a plastic stopper, and for holding carbonation we recommend replacing the original seals with Low2 seals, as the originals tend to leak. As a guide, you will need about 28 of the 750ml bottles for a standard 21L batch, which is a little over two cases of 12.
