After brewing a hazy with Freestyle's NZL-32 experimental hop, we thought this should work really well in a New Zealand Pilsner. We paired it with Motueka and Riwaka, based one a classic simple Pilsner malt bill. What came out was a delicious pilsner with a great tropical twist on top of the citrusy goodness of Motueka and Riwaka.  Probably one of the best pilsners we've made so far.

This beer was brewed for the NZ Hops release party of the Hort 4337 trial hop, but thanks to Covid19 that didn't happen. Good news for you - instead of going to a group of commercial brewers & hop growers, it's now available for sale - and this is the kit to brew it yoursel! It's loaded with 4337 hops with a little backup of Mosaic hops.

The malt is mainly Pilsner & Vienna by BestMalz from Germany supported by two different types of Oats and some wheat malt.

We truly love our Red Rooster Red IPA. This is a it's little brother - a newely formulated recipe featuring Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial & Citra hops and still deliciously malty using fresh Gladfield malt like only a red IPA can provide. However, this is only 4.8% ABV - without compromising body or flavour.

A not quite traditional German Helles lager brewed using Best Malz. This malt is newly available in New Zealand after centuries of production in Germany. Light and highly sessionable, perfect for a hot day.

We used some Hallertau Blanc to give it a subtle fruity twist - don't tell the Germans!

Brew our Marchfest 2018 beer at home

Our tribute to Mike "Tasty" McDole's award-winning "Janet's Brown", Tasty AF is all about the malt AND the hops.

Uses lots of classic American hops, Cascade leading supported by Willamette.

ABV: 6.5%

A true Red IPA - deep red colour and this delicious blend of complex malt and a big punch of American hops. Gladfield specialty malts selected for their deep red colour and rich malty profile are paired with Columbus, Chinook and Centennial hops.

Summer has come and this is the perfect beer for a hot summer day. Cold, fizzy and super easy to drink. We've used a high percentage of Maize to lighten the body and provide a background impression of sweetness. Fermentation is done with M54 California Lager for crispness and minimal esters. For hops we've stayed in New Zealand: Wakatu & Motueka since we wanted a hint of lime (so you don't have to stuff a lime wedge into your beer).
